So, Anaxinne asked me to do a review. Now, I’ll be honest here…I’m not sure if there are 2 different shows called The Big Bang Theory out there, so I’ll go with the one I thought I was supposed to talk about. I started watching one that’s supposed to be a sitcom, it certainly has a laughtrack to it…but it isn’t funny. Hey, nerdy people are funny because World of Warcraft and Star Trek and probably Star Wars…Yeah. Sorry, I didn’t see the humor. Not because I like some nerdy, geeky shit. No. Because I like…HUMOR. Maybe I didn’t watch enough of it, but honestly, I didn’t want to after a while. John Galecki…yeah, I remember him from when I was a kid…Roseanne. You wanna talk about funny, THAT was funny. Galecki is funny, and he CAN be funny, but this…THIS? No, not funny. I’m sorry, babydoll, but I’m not impressed by this show. You wanna see Galecki being Galecki AND funny? Suicide Kings. Watch THAT. I’m not saying all of this because of the actors, I’m saying it because of the material. Meh…
Ooooh yeah. I meant the Other Big Bang Theory, but since we are on the topic of the sitcom, I must ask you to clarify your reasoning for disliking the show. Don’t get me wrong baby doll, Im not being an ass or arguing, I just really am curious as to your thought process. You said the content was meh which I can agree on. I personally enjoy the way the actors play off of each other and also how the characters, given their random personalities, react in different situations. I enjoy the same in shows such as Sherlock, Psych, Monk and so on….pretty much enjoying the very interesting and humorous way they experience and react to life. I guess I am just trying to figure out what you do find funny and why?
Im sure it seems weird that I ask for clarification but in reading reviews of types of media that you put up, or anyone for that matter, I like to understand their thought process and how they come to these conclusions. For example, I could say I hated the movie Annabelle, but how could you take this as an authority on anything if not knowing my preferences and how I thought. Im rambling. Sorry….My only real question at this point is the flash the fastest guy on earth or is Superman?
I’m really not sure what show you’re talking about. Danny and I looked into it, and the only show we could find was the one I talked about. As far as I go, that is to say, as far as my personal taste in humor goes, I love all kinds of funny shows/movies. Monty Python has always had a big place in my heart. Spaceballs and Young Frankenstein still make me laugh after seeing both films 100+ times. Bubba Hotep is friggin hilarious. These things make me laugh because they’re actually funny. That Big Bang Theory just wasn’t funny to me. All the jokes came off as references to geeky shit, and referential humor is very rarely funny. That’s probably why I can’t stand Family Guy either. When the reference is just there to make a reference to something…dead silence. No laugh track. And to answer the question: The Flash is faster than Superman.
